myCurlingCoach - Player Statistics Controller

 

The player statistics controller allows for the analysis of the player’s statistics  with respect to the players’s games and team members.  When the hit information is saved on exiting the hit controller, the statistics controller can be used to examine the player’s statistics on an end per end basis throughout the game. The search bar at the top can be used to search for a player, team or game by entering any character found in the name or club name.

As shown below the following type of statistics can be displayed and analyzed;

  1. player total statistics

  2. player’s game score

  3. team statistics

While examining any of the player’s statistics, the “Edit” button found in the navigation bar at the top can be used to delete any of the players, teams or games. Selecting the “End” will add red “-” buttons in the table listing that can be used to delete the selected player information once the deletion is confirmed in the alert message displayed once the selection made. The standard swipe right to left can also be used to display the red “-” buttons. Selecting the “Done” button or the selected row item in the list will also cancel the deletion operation.

The player stats controller will display a list of all the players where selecting a player the stats controller will display a listing of the player’s games along with the following player’s statistics;

  1. player’s total score

  2. player’s game score for selected game

  3. player’s game draw, hits statistics

  4. player’s game recorded shots & reason histogram

  5. player’s total draw, hits statistics

  6. player’s total recorded shots & reason histogram

By default the first game associated with the selected player will display the player’s game stats but by selecting a different game will update the selected player’s game statistics.

The game and total shots fields displays the number of times a type of shot was played during the game and the total  number of times the shot was recorded. By default only played shots are displayed and sorted in an increasing score, listing the minimum to maximum score recorded for the type of shot.

The game and total reason fields display the number of times the reason was selected during a game and the total  number of times the reasons was associated with a shot. By default only selected reasons are displayed and is sorted in a descending order, listing maximum to minimum times the reasons were selected.

The game stats controller will on the other hand display a list of all the recorded games where selecting a game the stats controller will display a listing of the players associated with the selected game.

By default the first player associated with the selected game will  have their statistics displayed but selecting a different player will update the player’s statistics to display the selected game statistics along the selected player’s total statistics.

The team stats controller will display a list all the teams where selecting a team the following stats info will be displayed;

  1. team total score

  2. player total score for recorded hits

  3. player’s total recorded shots & reason histogram

When a team is selected the stats controller will display at the bottom a list of the team’s members while the team popover will present the team statistics with a list of team players. By default the first player associates with the selected team will have their total scores and shots statistics displayed. Selecting a different team player will update the player’s statistics.

The game statistics also allows for the selected game to be playback, one stone at a time while displaying the end score once all recorded stones have been placed on the curling surface. Once a game is selected the “Playback Game” button is disabled but activated once the game popover is dismissed by selecting a point outside of the popover. Selecting the “Playback Game” will activate the playback option by displaying a score board at the top of the curling surface that will display the score on an end per end basis when all the stones associated with the end have been placed on the curling surface.
